Camp Kualoa March 2016

Camp Photos courtesy Sharon Kiyohiro

We had an awesome time at Kualoa this weekend! A HUGE MAHALOS to all the Scout's, Adult Leaders and Parents who participated and helped to make this Camp a fun and memorable experience.

The weather was OK. Not to much sun. Mostly overcast. We did get some rain on Friday evening while we we're setting up camp. But nothing after that. As soon as the sun went down. The mercury really took a dive. A chilly breeze off the water and from the North, made it pretty cold! We had to buss out the cold weather clothing, including beanies.

The Park was packed with Spring break Campers and Visitors! No parking!! We had to park the Trailer down the road. There was a Family Reunion Party/Camp, 150+ people. Live Band, Big Screen TV, the whole  nine yards! All the other Camp Sites we're occupied. There must have been over 200 people there this weekend! In spite of it all. The Boys had a great time! They played ball on the beach and went swimming. They worked on Life Saving skills and Rank requirements. We did two Scoutmaster Conferences.

A Special Thank You to Devin Kiyohiro for sharing his knowledge, and working with the Scout's on their requirements.I want give a shout out to our Scout Leaders! Great job of taking care of our younger Scout's! The Boy's couldn't play Capture The Flag, there was no space to play. We had a small Campfire on Saturday night. We couldn't find enough wood. So we all retired to bed early. Everyone was well rested, we we're all up before 6:00 a.m. on Sunday. Because we knew we had to work hard to carry everything back to where the Trailer was parked, then load it up. We didn't leave until 9:00 a.m.

A HUGE MAHALOS to our Grubmaster, and Iron Chef Steven Ogata. Mahalos to Vernon Verzon for the Beef Soup. Hit the spot! Thank You to our Towmasters, Todd Duyvejonck and Vernon Verzon! Great job! Mahalos to Sharon Kiyohiro for the crab dip and dessert. Thank You to Damien Boncales for the ice and dessert. Mahalos to Vernon Verzon and Dan Kiyohiro for
assisting me with the Scoutmaster Conferences. Thanks Sharon, Dan, and Damien for spending the day with us.

Camp Wicklund Feb. 2016

It was a chilly weekend at the Wicklund camp but it sure was relaxing, kicking back at the beach by the campfire. The weather was great for most of the weekend except for Sunday morning just as we packed up the last of the tarps. The rain came down fast and heavy, but after the rain was a beautiful rainbow. On Saturday the boys assisted Mr. and Mrs. Wicklund by removing A LOT of weeds along the sides of the house and property line. It sure got hot during the day, but the boys had some cooling off time in the ocean.

Dutch Oven Night

February 5, 2016

Each of the three patrols participated in a friendly bake off using the dutch oven. What was on the dessert menu? Cake, of course. This just proves that you can have your cake AND eat it it too. Despite a few undercooked sections of cake all the boys had a great time baking with the dutch ovens.

Christmas Lights Removal

The Christmas Holiday Season always seems to go by so quickly. The scouts started out the new year by lending a helping hand to remove the Christmas lights at the Momilani Rec Center. They were very efficient, and completed the job in just 30 minutes. Way to go scouts!

Urban camp 2014

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! It was a great weekend for UH Athletics! YAY Bows! Great win on Senior Night! The weather was perfect!  And we had an awesome time at our Annual Urban Camp. Couldn't ask for much more than that!  A HUGE MAHALOS to the Scout's and Adults who attended. It was a great time of fun and fellowship.

Our day started out with a nice, but very bumpy ride to the Ala Moana Shopping Center. Due to all the road construction along the Bus Route. We arrived at Ala Moana around 10:00 a.m. The Boy's we're eager to start their day of fun

Brant Yamamoto and Kyle Higa came up with a little contest. Each group had to take selfies at various businesses around Ala Moana. It was a good work out for the Scout's and it tired out the Adult Chaparones. We met up at 12:00 p.m. for Lunch. The Boy's we're very thirsty and hungry by then. We had a good lunch to recharge out batteries and went on our way again. We met back up at Center Stage at 2:45 p.m. and started walking to the Hotel.

The Boy's we're anxious to sit and rest in the comfort of their room with nice cool AC. They spread themselves out between 3 rooms. And proceeded to entertain themselves with their Electronic Devices, DVD Players and popcorn. All the Boy's we're perfectly content with just their Electronic Devices. And that was the extent their evening. It was a great time of fellowship and bonding. And that's what it's all about!

We did break at 6:00 p.m. to go to Walmart so everyone could shop for their microwavable dinners and snacks, since we had no Kitchen. Some people bought food from L&L. And some of us went to Asahi Grill.

I hope you all had a nice safe Halloween Celebration! it was a typical rainy Halloween Bight. But that didn't stop the Trick-O-Treaters or the Scout's of Troop 75. We we're fortunate the weather cooperated for most of the evening. I just want say a HUGE MAHALOS to all the Scout's, Parents and Siblings who came out to help support Breene Harimoto and the Pearl City Foundation with their Halloween Bash! Thank You for taking the time to be there! Breene and the PCF we're very appreciative for all our help. It was a nice turn out! Great job Troop 75! You guys are so awesome!

Court of Honor 09-2014

Hi Troop 75 Ohana,

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend! In spite of this hot and humid weather. When it comes to our Court Of Honor, it doesn't really matter what the weather conditions are! The Show will go on. This evening was no exception. Besides, it's one of my favorite Troop Activities. I wouldn't miss it for the world!

A HUGE MAHALOS to everyone who attended. Thank You for being there to help celebrate the accomplishments of our Scout's! Our Boy's worked so hard to earn their Merit Badges and Rank Advancements. And they certainly deserve recognition and acknowledgement. The Scout learns and grows, with each Merit Badge earned, and with each Rank Advancement. Congratulations Scout's! Very well done! You make us all proud! To Eric and his Flag Men, Thank You for opening and closing our Court Of Honor. Mahalos to Ian , for the beautiful prayer! Very well done Boy's!

MAHALOS to all the Adult Leaders and Volunteers. Thank You for all your hard work, dedication and support. You guys are the reason our Troop runs so smoothly, and so efficiently. Thank You for all the onolicious food and the delectable desserts.

Thank You to all the Ladies of the Activities Committee! Fabulous job as usual! Mahalos to Damien Boncales for working so hard to get all the Merit Badges and Rank Advancement things together. And for loaning us your sound system. Thank You to Pavel Peroutka for taking all the candid shots for our Blog Site. Next Court Of Honor is in December.
