Makahiki
Hi Troop 75,
I hope you all had a wonderful, safe weekend! We participated in the 2018 Makahiki on Saturday. It was a huge success! Our Booth is always busy with very interested, and tech savvy kids! As we show cased a little technology of our own. We did the same activity as last year. The remote controlled Robots. The participants had to navigate the Robot through an obstacle course as quick as they could. The Drivers seem to get better each year.
A HUGE THANK YOU to all the Scout's, Adult Leaders and Adult Volunteers. Especially to the ones who stayed the whole day, and the ones that stayed beyond their shift! Thank You for taking time on your Saturday to help out. We had a very nice turn out! Mr Al wants to express his deepest apologies for not being able to be there to help, He was at home with the Stomach Flu. And did not want to spread his germs. He was able to make it down after the event to help transport the robot tracks and accessories back to the container.
A BIG THANK YOU to Greg Yoshida and all the Scout's who helped Mr. Yoshida load up his Van on Friday night. Thank You to everyone who came out early Saturday morning to help set up. Thanks to Jake and Cody Tamaye for the Cameras. And the Eshelman Ohana for the Monitor and extra Tables, Chairs and Candy. Thank You to all the Adult Chaperones. Thanks to all of you for another successful Makahiki! Mr Al felt so bad he was not able to share in the experience! He'll be there next year for sure!
